ESTEL TATTOO STUDIO
Piercing
Piercings are a special form of body jewellery - personal, aesthetic and individual.
You should feel comfortable in my studio right from the start. I take the time to work with you to choose the right spot and the right jewellery so that your new piercing not only looks good, but also feels good.
A look into the
Procedure
The first step is very simple: get in touch with us - by email, phone, in person on site or on social media. Tell us briefly what you have in mind (including sample images or ideas) and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Before we start, we will briefly discuss your wishes, possible variants and answer any open questions.
The area is then prepared and marked so that you can see exactly where the piercing will sit later.
It is placed with a calm, precise technique - quickly, cleanly and as comfortably as possible for you.
You will then receive clear care instructions and can contact me at any time if you have any questions.
Then report contact us - we look forward to working with you to turn your idea into reality!
Hygiene and safety
Cleanliness and safety always take centre stage. I work with disposable materials and high-quality, body-safe jewellery. Every piercing session is carefully prepared to guarantee you a reliable and hygienic experience.

Questions
& answer
Here you will find frequently asked questions and answers about piercing.
I only pierce by appointment. You can book your piercing appointment online, let me know by email when you would like to come by or give me a call. This way I can prepare myself optimally for you.
When you are in my studio, everything will be discussed in peace and quiet. If the marked point is right for you, the piercing will be done. Afterwards, I will explain everything you need to know about care and you will receive the care instructions.
No. Please arrive at your appointment sober - i.e. free from alcohol and all other drugs.
Alcohol, drugs and painkillers can have a blood-thinning effect.
The following age requirements apply to piercing:
From 14-18 years, at least one person with parental authority must be present. Everyone must bring ID. A declaration of consent must also be signed.
Nevertheless, I don't pierce every piercing when I'm underage. This is due to growth, healing time and how the body is treated. It is therefore important to me that you contact me beforehand if you are still a minor.
Every piercing represents a foreign body for the human organism and can therefore potentially be rejected. In addition to a genetically determined weakness of the connective tissue, there are various factors that can cause a piercing to grow out. If a piercing is not inserted deep enough, the body may regard it as an intruder and begin to reject the jewellery by means of a natural defence reaction.
After complete healing, piercing jewellery that is too small or too tight should not be worn under any circumstances. As soon as a piercing exerts too much pressure on the tissue, it is possible that the body will recognise it as a foreign body and reject it.
You should always take care not to touch your piercing with unwashed hands. This is because bacteria can contaminate the stitch channel, which in the worst case can lead to inflammation.
You should not play around with the new piercing jewellery during the healing phase, as this could also lead to contamination, which in turn promotes inflammation.
It is important that the first-use jewellery is made of titanium, otherwise a nickel allergy could occur.
In the event of an infection, the piercing jewellery should never be removed by hand. This would close the wound and the infection in the stitch channel could become encapsulated, which in the worst case could lead to pus blisters or abscesses.
Yes, in general you can say that every piercing hole will grow back. However, there are several different factors that influence the duration of this process.
The overgrowth of a piercing channel that has been in place for years takes considerably longer than with a freshly pierced piercing.
If a piercing has often been irritated or inflamed, it will grow back more slowly. In general, you should only remove a piercing for a longer period of time if you no longer want to wear it. The canal is kept open by the piercing and would immediately begin to contract as soon as the jewellery is removed.
A piercing needle should always take precedence over an ear piercing gun. Not only for cartilage piercings or pierced ears. With the ear piercing gun - a shooting device that works with a strong spring - an ear stud is shot with force.
The tissue is literally shattered.
Healing can be negatively affected by this procedure and some pierced ear holes become inflamed again and again.
There are indeed considerable differences between shooting and piercing. For example, the ear piercing gun should never be used. With an earshot, the tissue is forcibly displaced, whereas with a laser-ground hollow needle, the tissue is pierced in a gentle manner.
Yes, it is possible for the piercing attachments to loosen or come off the piercing completely. Check the fasteners regularly (with washed hands!) and «tighten» them if necessary. I accept no liability for lost attachments.
